Queen's Quarter is located on the former Taberner House site in central Croydon, opposite the Croydon Council offices and near to Croydon Town Hall. A key regeneration site, the scheme provides space for retail, leisure and cultural activities, as well as bringing much-needed new homes and jobs to the area. The plans also revitalise the popular Queen’s Gardens, which has been reimagined by landscape architect Grant Associates, in close collaboration with interested local stakeholders. The result is a new public space which exceeds the area of the existing Queen’s Gardens. In line with their commitment to building strong communities, HUB facilitated extensive community engagement and public consultation which also included working closely with members of the Croydon community to shape plans for The Queen’s Gardens. The scheme delivers 513 new homes both for sale and for rent, 35 per cent of which have been delivered at a subsidised level.
