Park Central West is the third phase of Lendlease’s Elephant Park regeneration project, which sits on the site of the former Heygate Estate. The site is located on New Kent Road in Elephant & Castle. Park Central is a plot that consists of 6 buildings containing homes of a mix of different tenures, linked by a one storey podium containing residential amenity spaces and retail units. Park Central West has a 24-storey tower, part of the family of tall buildings on the masterplan, containing 184 homes. The building is constructed from aluminium unitised façade panels. The design of the façade includes deep silver aluminium feature fins creating an overall framework within which indented silver anodised aluminium panels sit. The top of the tower is lightened through the introduction of a crown. The midrise blocks are composed of Ground to eleven storey mansion block style buildings containing 261 homes. The buildings forms allow for setback levels at the top and also include a generous park facing roof terrace space. The buildings are formed with the combination of 5 different brick patterns using just a yellow and dark brick type playfully combined. The brick pattern and colours are inspired by the local architectural palette. A shared residential amenity space is provided at Level 01 at the tower block. This includes a 24-hour concierge, workspace, games room, screening room, resident’s room and gym with links to the shared courtyard space.
