Dora Carr Close is one of three projects won as part of an Oxford City Council bid in December 2010. These projects are collectively known as the HAB Oakus Oxford project and consist of Dora Carr Close, Westlands Drive and Barns Road, all within Oxford.

Dora Carr Close has been delivered in two phases; Phase 1 consisted of a 750m² community centre with sports hall, and a mansion block built around a partially glazed atrium providing 28 deck accessed flats. Phase 2 comprises 19, two and three storey, terraced houses with a varied roof profile. New landscaping complements the new street layout and incorporates a series of new ponds as part of the development. The scheme provides homes for social rent, shared ownership and market sale with an overall gross internal area of 4,460m².
