The Stratford Yards is a new mixed use development covering approximately 2.2 hectares in Stratford, east London. Adjacent to the Stratford Centre, the scheme replaces a 1970s office block and multi-storey car park with two residential towers, a new flexible office building and lifestyle hotel all centred around a generous new public square. The proposal incorporates a new connection into the existing shopping centre to help maintain the bustling town centre focus.
The redevelopment includes new purpose built storage and amenity facilities for the market stall holders who operate in the heart of the shopping centre, as well as a large semi-public garden deck to the east of the development.
A ground level podium provides new retail and restaurant opportunities. It includes a new shopping arcade cutting through the podium to give improved pedestrian access from the east of the town centre to the busy bus interchange and railway station.
