Britannia Street involved the careful refurbishment of an existing 20,000 square foot stable block near King’s Cross to highlight the appeal of the existing industrial space and afford strong natural lighting to the interiors. Original elements that were exposed included the cast iron structure, continuous roof lights, timber floors and masonry walls. A stone horse ramp was kept and now becomes part of the journey through the building. The building is now the head office of fashion retail chain Diesel.
