The Nova is a 66,000 square foot retrofit scheme that restores the historic Chevrolet Motor Company Building and a neighbouring structure to provide spacious downtown loft apartments, secure parking, retail space and a rooftop urban greenhouse.

The Nova is located in the Automobile Alley Historic District of Oklahoma City, originally a commercial district that included more than two thirds of the city's car dealerships. The area has since been redeveloped and is now home to some of the city’s most popular restaurants and attractions.

The existing site comprises two buildings: a former commercial building to the north of the site, and the former Chevrolet building to the south. On completion, the transformed Chevrolet building will create approximately 19,000 square feet of ‘white boxed’ retail space at ground level, with 20 generous for-lease apartments above. At the first floor the west facing apartments will benefit from generous walk out balconies with views downtown.

The north building’s ground level will be primarily used for residents’ parking, with a two storey retail unit facing on to NE 7th Street. A 10,000 square foot greenhouse is constructed above this repurposed building that will grow produce for distribution to local markets and restaurants.

The two buildings are linked by a new external core acting as front door to the new apartments. The development is enhanced with landscaping and improved parking surfaces to support the future retail.
