Lake Hefner Golf Course is publicly owned by The City of Oklahoma City and widely regarded as one of the premier municipal golf courses in a multistate region.

The multiphase building is a simple diagram. Two strong gabion cage bases manifest from biodiverse landscaping and house a golf shop, retail and Grab & Go. Atop of these bases bridges a Corten jewel box protecting restaurant and bar users from the harsh southern sun while presenting panoramic views over the course and to the lake beyond. The simple material palette honours the surrounding scenic context. Limestone gabion walls mirror the Lake shore riprap and dam, while the oxide metal contrasts against the dynamic Oklahoma sky.

The project strives to be the Clubhouse for all Lake Hefner users and City residents by appealing to more than just golfers – diversifying and increasing revenue streams to guarantee long term success.
