Morna Robertson
Head of Organisational Development & Operations

Morna studied Art History at St Andrews University, with a growing interest in architecture and its impact on society and social history, and her degree thesis was on this topic. Interested also in the ways businesses work, she directed her career towards business support roles in architecture and worked for several practices, both small and global, before joining AHMM in 2004 as a project secretary, a role developed to underpin the administration of architectural projects.

Becoming Head of Support in 2007, Morna led the practice’s support functions before being appointed as Head of Practice Operations in 2016. This role brought with it the additional responsibility for premises and facilities in a firm which has, in Morna’s time, grown from 35 to over 400 people, now with employee ownership and offices in London, Bristol, Oklahoma City, Madrid and Sydney.

In 2024 Morna was appointed to the new role of Head of Organisational Development & Operations, combining the steering and coordination of support operations with leading on the identification and implementation of improvements across the business, working with the Managing Director and the senior team to deliver key projects and assisting the Board with the continued development of the practice to meet its strategic goals.
