Since training in Architecture at the University of Westminster (BA Hons) and the Bartlett School of Architecture (DipArch, MArch), Babak has worked with Foster + Partners, working on major projects and gaining international practice experience that informed his approach to complex multidisciplinary design. He was previously Head of BIM for Building Design at AtkinsRealis, where he led a specialist team deploying digital tools and workflows to improve multidisciplinary design and delivery and project outcomes. Babak has also contributed to their global digital strategy at Benoy and led Wilkinsons Eyre’s BIM adoption.

Babak joined AHMM in 2025 as Head of Digital Design and is responsible for leading the development and optimisation of digital design to support the practice’s architectural work, shaping digital capability, championing new methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the studio.
