Since joining AHMM in 2001, Philip has led project teams committed to a mix of projects at a range of scales and across a wide variety of sectors.

Philip’s projects currently in design include a two-building housing project above Southwark Underground Station, a once in a generation opportunity to work with the Worshipful Company of Carpenters on their livery Hall in the City of London, and new masterplan proposals for a city block at Singer Street in Hackney. His on-site projects include Belgrove House, a hybrid laboratory and office building opposite King’s Cross Station.

Philip’s recently completed projects include 1 Berkeley Street, a mixed-use development containing offices, retail and the first 1 Hotel outside north America, located opposite The Ritz, and One New Park Square, an office building in Edinburgh which includes a café, restaurant, music venue and 200-seat conference centre. Previously he led the team on The Bower, an office-led masterplan and retrofit project at the corner of Old St and City Rd, and a compact mixed-use project for a pair of buildings in Farringdon for the Worshipful Company of Girdlers.

Beyond the AHMM studio, Philip taught Masters for the first five years of the London School of Architecture, where he led the final year studio. He is currently an external examiner at Greenwich University, as well as a longstanding member of the Hackney Design Review Panel.
