Prior to joining AHMM in 2010, Kirsten worked in Australia and New Zealand on a variety of projects of different scales and typologies.

At AHMM, Kirsten has been a key member of the design teams for the first totally private funded affordable housing scheme in the UK, a 280 student bed scheme within then Greenwich Peninsula championing offsite manufacturing to maximise both character and construction efficiency and a pioneering Church of England school in Dagenham which explored methods of making and construction. She also helped deliver the New Scotland Yard Headquarters, combining a new public realm, glazed public room and rooftop pavilion with the refurbishment and extension of the existing Curtis Green Building, taking the project to completion in 2016.

More recently, Kirsten was Project Architect on the TQEC Research Hub, the reinvention of two former gas sheds into a dedicated state-of-the-art research facility for the Bristol Digital Futures Institute and MyWorld as part of the University of Bristol’s emerging innovation campus.

As part of AHMM’s BIM Technical group, Kirsten has an excellent understanding of the processes and protocols required to work collaboratively and successfully in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) software environment having gained extensive experience in delivering projects via BIM from conception to completion. She was BIM Manager on One Broadgate, a mixed-use scheme including retail space arranged around a new retail arcade with office floors above. For which she also led the design and coordination of the lower ground, public realm and utilities, which was particularly challenging due to its location in the City of London. 

Kirsten was made an Associate in 2025.
