James is a design focused architect with experience across a range of sectors including housing, office, and education at all key stages of the design process. He initially joined AHMM’s Bristol studio in 2009, working on the RIBA Award-winning Waverley School in Birmingham. Since moving to the London office in 2012 he has worked on Television Centre, Blossom Street, Royal Arsenal, and several successful bids and competition entries. Most recently, James has led a team designing 1 Broadgate, a new mixed-use building that forms a key part of the transformation of the Broadgate estate in the City of London. James was promoted to Associate in 2018 and Associate Director in 2021.
