Dermot has broad experience in all aspects of design and construction across a range of sectors including masterplanning, workspace, residential, leisure and interiors.

Since joining AHMM in 2011, Dermot has worked on several large-scale office buildings and currently leads project teams for One Fairchild, an office tower in Shoreditch and a part new/part deep refurb of an office building in Knightsbridge. He has also completed a mixed-use office, residential and public realm scheme at Nottingdale Campus for Adena Properties and continues to work with Adena on the development of their masterplan campus.

Dermot has a particular interest in working in his home country of Ireland, he graduated and worked for five years in Dublin, and currently leads the team for Stokes Place, a mixed-use office led campus in the Georgian core of Dublin.

More recently, Dermot demonstrated his design led approach in smaller scale projects with the newly completed Waverley Gate, a re-imagination of the interiors of the old National Post Office building in Edinburgh for Kennedy Wilson as well as current hotel, warehouse and listed building refurbishment projects.

Dermot is part of the practices’ CSR Team and his role involves developing pro-bono architectural projects on behalf of the office including the completion of Migrateful Kitchen.
