Onsite at Dagenham Park School

Dagenham Park School is currently onsite with the installation of the precast concrete structural façade panels underway. Each panel measures 7.5m x 3.6m weighing up to 12 tonnes. The panels form a load bearing external system that arrives onsite with the windows pre- installed. The building’s distinct identity has been achieved by introducing the colours of the school logo into solar control fins attached to the façade panels.

This new three storey teaching building sits at the centre of an existing school site set within an overall master plan also designed by AHMM. This design will create a legible campus with strong identity and community presence for the school. The landscape and access strategy makes positive connections to the adjacent park, junior school, high street and nearby public transport links. The project is due to be completed at the end of 2012.
