Planning granted for former Belfast Telegraph site

Belfast City Council has unanimously granted planning permission for The Sixth, the redevelopment of the Grade B2 listed former Belfast Telegraph offices and printing facilities on Royal Avenue. Built in 1886, the buildings were home to the newspaper for more than 100 years before it moved to new premises in 2016. The mixed-use project – AHMM’s first in Northern Ireland – includes retail and restaurant units at ground level, with 230,000 square feet of office space above, topped with a rooftop running track.
