Property Week Awards 2025 Shortlist 07.05.25

AHMM’s Fit Out // Rip Out report has been shortlisted in the Sustainability Initiative category of this year’s Property Week Awards.

The Fit Out // Rip Out report challenges the industry standard approach to the development, marketing and management of speculative office space, while proposing an ambitious new approach to evaluating the whole life carbon impacts of office buildings. The significance of tenant churn is also interrogated as a contributor to whole life building carbon emissions which is currently missed by existing accounting methods; this research aims to disrupt the current model.

Ella Smith, Building Performance Analyst at AHMM, was the lead researcher, and co-authored the report with Dr Craig Robertson, AHMM’s Head of Sustainability. The research is a continuation of AHMM’s commitment to developing a viable model for delivering Net Zero buildings within a commercial context and uses real-world projects for maximum relevance and impact.

Winners will be announced at the Property Week Awards party on the 1st of July.
