Planning approval for 330 Gray’s Inn Road 09.07.21

Proposals by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris for developer Groveworld to create new homes, workspaces and a lifestyle hotel at 330 Gray’s Inn Road, the former home of the Royal Nose, Throat and Ear Hospital, have been approved by Camden Council’s planning committee.

Over 50% of the homes will be delivered as affordable housing, while 14,000 square metres of office space will be able to support a variety of businesses, including lab-enabled workspaces and life sciences, further strengthening the Knowledge Quarter’s reputation as a centre for innovation. The hotel, which incorporates the historic 330 Gray’s Inn Road building, will create an attractive space with amenity for residents and visitors. At the heart of the development will be a public courtyard, designed in collaboration with EAST, a soft-landscaped residents’ courtyard, and two public routes from Wicklow Street that will make new connections within the wider King’s Cross area. Having been approved by the council, the proposals will now be considered by the GLA for final planning consent.
