Official Opening of Burntwood School’s Performing Arts Building

Allford Hall Monaghan Morris joined Angela Graham – the Mayor of Wandsworth and School Governor – and local MP Sadiq Khan to officially open Burntwood School’s new Performing Arts Building last week. The new building sits adjacent to school’s refurbished Assembly Hall to define the new Flag Lawn at the centre of the school. Over the past few years, AHMM and Lend Lease have been reinventing the entire educational campus with a series of built interventions and outdoor spaces that respect the modernist principles of the original 1950s buildings designed by Sir Leslie Martin. The overall project is due for completion in summer 2014.
