An Urban Splash competition for the redevelopment of a disused engineering works, to the north east of Birmingham. The proposals aim to regenerate the site with a high quality mixed use scheme, including a variety of high specification residential accommodation including apartments and houses, a hotel in the refurbished Cincinnatti Building, and a high quality public realm. The proposed uses and site layouts introduce and reinforce connections to the wider context, and allow the site to be reintegrated within the local neighbourhood, whilst forming a visual gateway for Birmingham.
