Barbican Arts Centre
London. 2006
- Project Details
- Completion: 2006
- Cost: £12.6 Million
- Clients: City of London Corporation
The creation of a new, easily understood public realm for one of the world’s largest arts centres involved the installation of a new grand route with new main entrances at each end. Working with graphic, furniture and lighting designers, the practice stripped away years of accreted decoration, signage and structure to reinforce the essential qualities of the original building and clarify access to the centre’s many venues.
