

Simon Allford was born in London in 1961. He was educated at Hampstead Comprehensive, the University of Sheffield and the Bartlett School of Architecture. Simon co-founded Allford Hall Monaghan Morris in 1989.
Simon has directed a broad
cross-section of projects within the practice with current projects including: Adelaide Wharf, a housing development in Hackney which is part of the London Wide Initiative; the Johnson Building, an office development for Derwent
London and Notting Hill Gate, a new headquarters for fashion company Monsoon Accessorize.
Simon is Visiting Professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture, Vice President of the Architectural Association and Vice President of the RIBA where he is developing a new initiative on education. He is also an advisor to the RIBA's President's Medal Student Awards and Policy & Strategy Groups.
Simon is Vice Chair of CABE's Design Review Committee and has chaired and judged
numerous international awards and competitions. Simon continues to contribute to TV and radio discussing the work of the practice and architecture in general and for eighteen months he had a weekly column in The Architects's Journal.
